Beach Cleanups

Join MODS for a fun-filled morning of beach cleanup, with entrance fees waived for all volunteers! Perfect for all ages, especially kids 8+, with adult chaperones required for those 16 and under.Pack a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray and wear comfy, closed-toe shoes. We’ll provide water, Gatorade and 
cleanup supplies.

Discovery Spot Member Early Access

MODS offers Members-only hours on Tuesdays. MODS will open the Discovery Spot one hour early at 9 a.m. for Members.

Pre-registration is required. First-come, first-served. Limited to 200. Members will check-in at the Information Desk. Admission is included.

On the last Sunday of each month, MODS offers FREE Sensory-friendly exploration and activities from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., with early Museum opening two hours before regular hours, followed by 12:30 p.m. IMAX film.*

Guests can also participate in sensory-based activities throughout the Museum to promote social interaction and enhance sensory processing and regulation skills in a natural environment.

To create a supportive environment for individuals on the autism spectrum, theater lights will be turned up, sound levels lowered, and all films will be presented in 2D. No trailers will be shown.

Guests are welcome to move around, sing, dance and bring comfort items such as snacks, blankets and small personal items.

Space Siesta

Blast off for a stellar sleepover that’s out of this world. Build glowing LED constellations, explore careers in space science and journey through the stars in our immersive Geodome Planetarium.

GLOW Night

Light up the night with glowing science. Explore the magic of bioluminescence, glow-in-the-dark chemistry and end the evening with an electrifying black light dance party.

Cost: $60 per participant (including chaperones) with a minimum of 50 participants.
