CAMP STEAMology T-SHIRTS ARE REQUIRED Campers are required to wear Camp STEAMology t-shirts. One FREE shirt will be included with registration for any multi-day camp, and an additional shirt will be provided for subsequent weeks. Additional shirts can be purchased for $12 at check-in.
FIELD TRIPS will be to Esplanade Park, an outdoor venue directly across from the Museum. Other enrichment activities will be brought in on-site to the Museum from trusted partners.
ADVANCED REGISTRATION is required to guarantee a spot due to smaller group sizes.
KEEPING HEALTHY SCIENTISTS SAFE
- Daily health and safety protocol review with campers.
- Every camper must bring a reusable water bottle clearly labeled with their name. No single-use plastic bottles, please.
- Proper handwashing technique and frequent reminders.
- Designated Camp restrooms and water fountain.
- Required pre-registration for a guaranteed spot.
- Adherence to all local, state and national health and safety laws, rules and guidelines. Educators are prepared to provide an amazing camp experience.

Get ready to build, create, tinker and bring ideas to life! Campers will explore the world of making through hands-on projects that introduce specialty tools, technology and creative building techniques. From designing and tinkering to experimenting with 3D printing, campers will develop problem-solving skills and gain the confidence to make something uniquely their own!
LEGO® Master Builders
June 7-11
Get ready to build, design and engineer with LEGO® bricks! Campers will take on creative building challenges inspired by the world around us, design towering structures and create stop-motion LEGO® movies. Through hands-on projects, architectural challenges and endless imagination, campers will explore the STEM behind every brick and bring their incredible LEGO® creations to life!
DINO-mite!

Get ready for a prehistoric adventure and uncover the science of the dinosaur world! Campers will step into the role of paleontologists as they explore dinosaur characteristics, diets, adaptations and the environments these incredible creatures called home. Through hands-on STEAM activities and an exploration of our new exhibit, Ice Dinosaurs: The Lost World of the Alaskan Arctic, campers will journey back in time to discover what life was like on our planet millions of years ago!
Space Explorers
June 21-25
Prepare for an out-of-this-world adventure into the wonders of space! Campers will explore the universe through hands-on STEAM activities, discovering planets, stars, constellations and the tools that help us uncover the mysteries beyond Earth. Along the way, they’ll step inside MODS’ inflatable GeoDome planetarium for an immersive experience among the stars!
Superhero Science
June 28-July 2
Calling all superheroes in training! Campers will unleash their inner superpowers through hands-on STEAM challenges, exciting experiments and science missions inspired by the extraordinary abilities of their favorite heroes. From testing their strength and speed to exploring the science behind flight, invisibility and more, campers will discover that the real superpower is understanding the science behind it all!
The Great Curiosity Circus
July 5-9
Step right up and prepare to be amazed by the science behind the extraordinary! Campers will explore the surprising side of science through spectacular demonstrations, optical illusions, creative STEAM activities and experiments that blur the line between science and magic. With plenty of twists, turns and wow moments, this week will inspire campers to stay curious and see the world in a whole new way!
LEGO® Master Builders
July 12-16
Get ready to build, design and engineer with LEGO® bricks! Campers will take on creative building challenges inspired by animals and their habitats, create stop-motion LEGO® movies and explore Earth’s most incredible natural wonders. Through hands-on projects and engineering challenges, campers will use their imaginations and building skills to recreate natural wonders, reimagine habitats and design their own LEGO® worlds!
Mystery at MODS
July 19-23
Become a junior detective and crack the case! Campers will dust for fingerprints, decode secret messages, analyze mysterious substances and search for hidden clues. Through hands-on forensic experiments, critical thinking and teamwork, young detectives will gather evidence and solve the mystery, discovering how science, observation and curiosity help them crack the case!
Messy Matter
July 26-30
Say yes to the mess this summer while exploring the fascinating science of all things gooey, icky and unexpected! Campers will dive into colorful chemical reactions, explore the icky side of nature, get creative with sticky STEAM projects and enjoy a splash-filled water day. With plenty of opportunities to experiment, create and get hands-on, Messy Matter proves that science is anything but boring!
Into the Wild
August 2-6
Step into the wild and discover the amazing connections between animals, plants and the world around us! Campers will explore environmental science through hands-on investigations, animal encounters, creative STEAM projects and nature-inspired experiments and art. From observing the tiny wonders of the natural world to meeting some of MODS’ animal ambassadors, campers will discover new ways to explore, appreciate and connect with the wild world around us!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Class capacity is limited and enrollment is based on a first-come, first served basis.
- Multiple-day camps cannot be purchased as one-day camps
- We accept Visa, MasterCard or American Express. You may also pay cash in person at the Box Office.
- Museum members may also pay by personal check. Checks should be made payable to: Museum of Discovery and Science.
- A camp registration confirmation will be sent to you once your child’s registration has been processed.
- The Museum reserves the right to combine like age levels to meet minimum attendance requirements.
- The Museum reserves the right to cancel a program if minimum enrollment has not been reached.
- Camp fees must be processed and submitted prior to your child participating in Camp STEAMology.
Policy and Procedures
- All camp registrations are final and will be honored only on the camp day/week purchased.
- Except in the case of an event cancellation by the Museum, there are no refunds or exchanges allowed.
- Absences may not be “made up” by having your child(ren) attend another camp on a different day, nor will you receive a prorated amount/refund/credit for any missed days. This includes illnesses or emergencies.
- If a camper is sent home due to behavioral reasons, no refunds will be provided.
Promotional Photography
By enrolling in Camp STEAMology, you consent to the photography, audio and video recording of your child for use in advertising, news, promotions or other media, and waive any rights to claims related to the use or distribution of these recordings unless a written request is submitted to camp@mods.org prior to the start of the camp session.
